What is Rapid Prototyping?
Rapid prototyping is the process used to quickly fabricate a scale model of a physical part or assembly using three-dimensional computer aided design (CAD) data. Typically CAD (Computer Aided Design) data is processed and sent to a computer controlled prototyping machine where the part is produced a layer at a time. 3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing (AM), refers to processes used to synthesize a three-dimensional object in which successive layers of material are formed under computer control to create an object. Rapid prototyping allows designers and engineers to produce prototypes or working models in relatively short time to help create and test various design features, ideas, concepts, functionality and in certain instances outcome and performance. Many competing technologies can be used for this process.
At NYXperimental, we offer a variety of comprehensive services, including 3D prototype printing, utilizing SLA & FDM processes. Our rapid prototype models, silicone molds, cast urethane parts and fabrications are of the highest quality. We are dedicated to providing our clients exceptional quality and services, and to meet their most demanding requirements in a timely and cost effective manner.
